CASA CREATIONS
About Our Team
Scott built his first house with his grandfather in 1973. Since then, he has fed his passion for building in a variety of ways. After studying architectural drafting in high school and college, he worked for the Manhattan Beach City Planner by doing the drawings for and helping people plan their renovations. During his career with the military (30 years, both active and reserve) and federal government, he gained in-depth training in all aspects of electrical, plumbing, H-Vac, and carpentry. As the General Foreman at the Federal Bureau of Prisons (overseeing maintenance of the facility and grounds), he gained much experience in supervising large projects in multiple disciplines. Through the years, he has done many personal renovations--both in his own home and for friends--before becoming a licensed contractor in the state of Mississippi in 2014.
Carol bought her first fixer upper at age 22. She paid a whopping $25,000 for the home, and with the help of her parents and roomate brought a lot of charm to the cute little cottage. She was hooked, and when she and Scott married in 2002, they celebrated their love for design and renovation by completing many projects together, including the restoring of a beautiful, unique home in Yazoo City, MS (see link to #20 Woodlawn for photos and story).
After Scott retired from the FBP, Carol left her 14-yr career as Spanish teacher and they began their home renovation business called CASA CREATIONS in 2012. Since then, they have renovated countless bathrooms, kitchens and other spaces for an eclectic group of clients.
Their goal in each project is to provide quality service to their clients by planning and overseeing every aspect of the renovation project from start to finish. Although they may subcontract occassionally during a large renovation, Casa Creations focuses on one job at a time.
